Book Preview: Lust of the Damned

The first chapter of my upcoming novel, a horror erotica that I must reiterate: this one is not for children! I am not going to be friendly to any parent who sends me an e-mail saying their kid is reading smut produced by yours truly. It was an interesting challenge putting out this particular style of my genre, one that I may do again in the future. As of now, this is a story of a college girl and her adventures into the world of the living dead.
No Necrophilia or oddness like that, I promise. Part mystery, part humor, and a lot of "heated" moments for those who like them. There's even a bit of action tossed in to make the suspense be a big payoff.
Anyway, I think that's enough rambling. Enjoy the first chapter and be sure to keep an eye out for this to be released early October!

Dead and Proud of It

A work that has been long in the making, this is a project that's finally achieved flight. If you're interested in taking a peek, the Kindle version is up right now with the paperback to follow in a few days.
The cover is by the same couple that do all my covers, and I really enjoy what they pulled up for me this time! If interested in the book the link is the image, but as of the day of this posting the book is only on Kindle.

Prison of the Soul Chapter Two

Scott coughed, hacking up frigid slush that was both salt water and half-digested coffee mixed with bile. Crawling on the beach, sand sticking to his soaking wet clothes, he made his way out of the tide with a woozy head and a blank mind. Looking up, he saw that the beach was dryer the further it got from the ocean, and was littered with large pieces of wood. Shivering in the cold wind and light drizzle still falling over him, Scott fought up to his feet. His arms felt like they were full of lead, numb and heavy. His legs weren’t any better, leaving him to stumble forward towards the closest bit of timber, a tree that had been knocked out and somehow ended up on the beach.

Mei and the Monastery of the Crow Chapter Three

The descent into the dungeon was slow going, as the cart had to be pushed onto an elevator, which shook unsteadily. Groaning beneath the weight of the cart, Blue-eyes walked over and stood by the crank used to lower the elevator.

Mei and the Monastery of the Crow, Chapter One

Mei smiled as she heard the gong of the Great Bell resonate throughout the monastery. The chill of winter filtered in through the stone and chilled her feet as she leapt from her bed down to the floor. Her long shirt doing little to keep cold away without the aid of her blanket, she raced to change into her furs and leathers, knowing that she’d be busy today.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Twelve

Dinner was light-hearted, with Mia laughing at every one of Samuel’s stories regarding his hunting stories. She was particularly interested in the story where he’d handled a group of zombie in South Africa, killing them before they spread their magical curse to others. It’d been one of the stories that had spread his stories as “The Black Warlock” due to the fact it was an act performed in Africa. The story hadn’t changed when people had caught sight of him and learned he was white, it’d even grown bigger when the magical world realized he was just a kid.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Eleven

Standing in front of the full-length mirror in his bathroom, Samuel was already feeling silly, and he’d only put on the under-tunic of the robes he had been ordered to wear. A deep royal purple, the tunic came up to form a choker, replete with a large single red garnet that would in other cases be a tie. The stitching on the tunic, while wonderful and soft was something that drove Samuel crazy. He hated the heat this outfit caused, and the automatic temperature control enchantments were sewn into it.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Ten

Samuel left Belle and Imogen in the den, both of them poring over worn copies of Weekly Wiccans together, the imp explaining the basic difference between the magical world and the mundane world while Samuel just needed a cold soda to cool his throbbing headache. Standing in the kitchen, he sipped from the glass bottle while leaning against the counter before hearing a soft knocking coming from his pantry. Smiling around the bottle, he smacked his lips in satisfaction and girded his will to the intolerable before calling out.

Samuel The Black Warlock Chapter Nine

Resting on the concrete rails that flanked the stairs leading up to the main building, Samuel found Belle with her two cohorts, talking animatedly. Pulsing his eyes with Mage Sight, Samuel could see the glittering golden orb resting at the bottom of her backpack, nestled between a math book and a sweater. Heaving a sigh, and asking himself what Descartes would do, he approached the teens with his usual dour demeanor.

Prison of the Soul Chapter One

The wind howled down upon their craft as Jim fought to keep the steering on the correct path. The storm had come upon them in a hurry, pushing them off course and pulling them deeper into the churning waves, which crashed upon the Patricia with hammering blows. God was truly showing his vengeance at Jim and his friends at this moment, but like always Jim saw it merely as an obstacle to overcome.

Samuel the Black Warlock, Chapter Eight

Samuel ran up to the body, kneeling by her to check her over for any obvious injuries. Seeing none, he looked back to see if anybody from the student population was around and, upon confirming that none were, he looked up at the closest Cloaker, the flat face on the underside of the flapping Dracula cloak. While not dangerous inherently, their size made them seem more formidable. The three he was about to face down were each easily seven feet of cloak and eight feet of segmented stinger.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Seven

“So is this going to be a problem?” Samuel asked, looking at the secretary, her nameplate signifying her as Mrs. Sanderson.

Samuel the Black Warlock, Chapter Six

Previous
Sipping his coffee while eating his third donut, Samuel relaxed back in his chair as he watched the teenage girl continually check her phone for the time. She clearly had plans to show him around campus before school, and a passive scan of her mind said she wanted to have him join some of the student organizations as she’d taken a peek at his older records and noted his high grades and standardized test scores.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Five

Walking silently out of his kitchen, he willed Imogen through their empathetic link to change into her feline form, to which he got a lazy vibe followed by a content feeling. Walking to the door through the den, he looked out the peephole to see who was outside at this hour. Samuel gasped in surprise when he saw the bushy red hair of a familiar Witch, her rectangular glasses peeking through the hole right back at him.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Four

Samuel awoke to the smell of smoldering brimstone, blearily opening his eyes long enough to look down at the floor where Imogen’s bed was to see her cuddling with Baron Schadenfreude Von Angst. The stuffed toy sang in small places where her tail had wrapped around protectively. Shaking his head, he rolled over and looked at the clock.

Samuel the Black Warlock Chapter Three

Setting up the master bedroom took a few hours, but Samuel stood back to admire his work. Black curtains and black walls with black furniture… he even managed to go shopping and find black bed sheets and pillow covers, which were now occupied by Imogen and his very-huggable stuffed bear Baron Schadenfreude von Angst, the small black bear covered in patches of dark silk to hide his years of wear and tear.

Ghost of O'Leary House Chapter Twenty-Four

The tombstone, partially covered by overgrown weeds, bore the name of David’s grandfather. The earth around the site was soft and yielding, as if it were muddy beneath the grass. With the starlight shining down, David could almost make out a birth and death date for on the grave marker. Opal’s hands, gaunt and luminescent, swept low so David could read aloud. Lee stood off to the side, apparently annoyed at the whole proceedings.

Son of a Preacher Man, Chapter Four (Redux)

“Hey Takeshi, you alright man?” Henry asked over a steaming cup of coffee, his bristly mustache somehow avoiding the hot drink as the graying detective took a delicate sip of the drink.
Takeshi leaned back in his chair, rubbing his eyes as he let out a huge yawn. Looking over at Henry with a tired expression, he cracked a small smile. “We have coffee?”

Son of A Preacher Man Chapter Three (Redux)

Detective Sato sat at his desk, pensively sipping his lukewarm cup of coffee while staring at all of the crime scene photos taken from the five attacks, trying to find a way to piece together how they were related. From the group of African American men coming home from a night out and the Mormon family in their van to the homeless man found stuffed in a dumpster without a heart or lungs, none of the people seemed to have any sort of connection at all.
