Tattoo Again!

     Working on a new set of horror stories to drip along the path for all of you right now, but I have a tattoo we can look over for fun. It is, of course, horror based.

     A strange skull with hair or flames allowing it to descend upon something, with a tinge of blue on the upper jaw. Very nice linework and shading, though I wish there was more color. I always do though.

     The Skull of Shylock, with a dagger ready to exact his pound of flesh from any foolish enough to make a bargain with the fiend.

   
     I should also mention this now graces my right arm! I love him already and will make sure he gets some friends when I can afford it!

Horror Tattoo

     So my wife and I have discussed how big my first tattoo should be, and with her advice, I am going in to talk to an artist to see if they can bring my vision to life. For now, you'll all just have to enjoy this tattoo!

     I like it. I think it's perfect because of the color palette used is just a variety of gray's and one vivid patch of red and black. Very nice.

Tattoo of the Day!

     Still looking for a tattoo artist and saving up for some work to be done. Really want to get something nice to compliment my wife's work. Not something that is a reflection of hers or a something referencing her, just some ink that will on my forearm similar to what she has.

Tattoo!

     Tattoos fascinate me. The very thought of marking yourself forever is a somewhat interesting idea, as the process is a painful procedure intent on creating plumage of a sort. That being said, I don't know what my plumage would attract, but here's something I'd consider!

     Obviously, something to work up to, and if I got it you'd be certain that it would have color in it. I like vivid blues and reds, with splashes of orange and green added in. The darker shade of the color the better.

Tattoo!

     One I've been thinking over but, you know, all that black space and no color? If you could mix in some color it would really pop, but I just see this thing fading over time until I would have to get it touched up, the luster of the crystal-void-orb-thing being the first to dull. Love the skull though, the horns on it are quite suitable for what I'm looking for.

Tattoo of the Day

     Most tattoos I go over are bicep or thigh tattoos, with the occasional partial sleeve. This one, however, is so clean and crisp that I had to include it. I would never get it as it doesn't have anything that represents me, but some lucky person has a real clean looking tattoo.

     The color scheme and intricate design make this tattoo really stand out. I just don't think I could subject myself to the hours of recuperation that this person would have to endure, an entire arm out of commission for a while as it heals.

Tattoo Time

     This one is of a jolly skeleton examining an eye with scrutiny, his bony digits digging into the flesh of the eyeball without popping it.

     The bowler hat and mustache make this a winner in my eyes, despite the bowtie being a little crooked. The shade work is great, as is the detail in the bones themselves.

Tattoo Time

     This one is an amazing piece of work that would be perfect for any Buddhist, such as me. I love the bright colors and the covering in scales and lotus flower that the Indian Buddha sits in. Just look at the detail given!

Another Tattoo Design

     I already have my tattoo planned out and have begun putting funds aside for it, but that doesn't mean we can't look at more beautiful pieces of Horror art!

     Old school vampire fans should enjoy this rendition of Nosferatu, I think the linework and shading are perfect. Would have looked better with color, but hey, who am I to judge?

Tattoo I'm Going to Get

     I've decided on my left forearm, close to the elbow. Going to have a partial skeleton holding a lantern, wearing a top hat with an ace of spades stuck in the band. I'm going to have one hand bearing the lantern and another holding a shrunken head. It will have one blue eye in the right socket.
     It may seem all out of left field, but it all has meaning to me. The skeleton is to represent the horror I've selected for my life, the ace of spades represents death, which in tarot card reading means change. This is a juxtaposition with my "death" figure that is the skeleton as the top hat with the ace of spades represents changes in life. The lantern is something to guide me through the darkness until I finally reach my goals in life while the shrunken head represents my youth, the memories shriveled away to nothing but the amazing and the terrible. The eye represents my eye color when I'm "happy" or "excited" and the lone eye will show that I can either look forward or back, not both.
     The colors will be blue bones and a warm glow coming from the lantern around a shaded area of darkness. The darkness is the unknown around me, and the lantern is my guide. The blue bones represent the cold nature of the real world. The skeleton will be weathered because I want to represent the troubles I've gone through.
     Now, to find an artist that can do this without costing me an arm and a leg!

Tattoo, Kind of Funny

     My wife has dared me to get this tattoo, but with rainbow sprinkles added on. I don't really think its something I'll be doing, but the tattoo is really great.

Tattoo of the Day!

     Tattoos fascinate me. Did you know the ink under the skin stays in a semi-liquid state after being ingrained into the skin? I love that!

     As many of you may have guessed, I enjoy the old time doctors who "treated" people with the plague that wore large bird masks to prevent them from smelling the foul stench of death. Well I found an interesting tattoo of one that I think would be a great bicep piece.

     A little steampunk for my tastes but sensible enough that I could have it scaled a bit for my arm if need be. Still hunting for that one tattoo that will just sing to me.

Tattoo Idea #3

     As a horror author in search of a good tattoo, probably for my forearm or thigh, I need to find something that both illustrates my love of the genre and who I am as an individual. I'm a Buddhist, I love horror, and I love gaming. Besides my wife and parents (and Grandmother) there really isn't anyone I care for in a sense that would merit a tattoo.
     My wife and I have agreed, no tattoos involving each other as that always seems to be the marker of a break-up. Wouldn't want her name on me and then Karma kicking us apart, ya know? So that's out. I don't want a Mom tattoo as I think those are tacky, and my Dad doesn't like tattoos so getting one involving him would be just odd.
     So Buddhism, Horror, and Gaming are my best bets!

     Here's a thigh piece that involves horror, and I could add a Ying-Yang symbol instead of the cross on the forehead, maybe some dice in his hand? Make the backdrop an emerald green or maybe a deep blue perhaps? What do you guys think?

Horror Tattoo

     With Inkmaster back on and my own desire for a little ink, I've been looking at designs that would be of interest to me. I am sticking with the horror theme, as it is my life, so keep that in mind.

     This may seem like a dark tattoo, but I would ask for the skulls to have a light blue/green tinge to them, as if they were underwater, along with some carvings on the foreheads to make them seem more ominous. My wife likes this one but I think a starter tattoo would be in order before I try something as big as this... maybe something on my forearm?

Interesting Tattoo

     I've been contemplating getting a tattoo for years, and should I make enough money on a release of one of my books I will get one. This is what I would get on my left bicep.

A screaming skull

     I've always told myself that tattoos should mean something, should represent an aspect of your life and be something that you can not only live with but look at and fondly remember the time in your life that prompted the birth of this body art. By no means do I say I'm getting a tattoo now as I am poor as dirt, but someday when my writing is fueling enough of a fire to fuel a tattoo... I think I could take the pain, especially after having to undergo the pain in my leg and when they did the nerve test.

     If I can survive the nerve test, then I can survive getting a tattoo.
